Working in Support of Education Celebrates 25 Years

New York, NY – Working in Support of Education (W!se), a leading educational nonprofit, proudly announces its 25th anniversary. Since its inception, the organization has been steadfast in its commitment to improving economic mobility through programs that develop financial literacy and readiness for college and careers.

Inspired by the leadership of Founder, Phyllis Perillo, W!se has been at the forefront of helping young Americans and at risk adults overcome two critical issues – a lack of financial literacy and preparedness for college and the workforce. Through our groundbreaking programs, we’ve helped more than one million people develop the knowledge and skills for college, career, and financial success, reaching 49 States and delivering 6 million hours of instructions.

“I’m proud of what we have accomplished over the past 25 years and honored to be celebrating this special anniversary. I’m also truly grateful to W!se’s Board, Associate Board and all our stakeholders whose dedication and tireless support have been critical to our success”, said David Anderson, President and CEO, W!se.

W!se will be hosting a series of exciting events throughout the year, starting with a 5K fun run in May in New York City. We will also be spotlighting several sponsors, donors, volunteers, and educators whose contributions have been vital to our work.

2024 marks a year of celebration but also one of continued growth, innovation, and transformative change. It sets the stage for the next 25 years during which we will remain passionately focused on developing an entire nation of financially literate, college and career-ready young and underserved people who can successfully meet the challenges of today’s global economy.
