We don’t often spend enough time examining the differences between men and women as relates to personal finance. And the sad truth is, major differences do exist. And in more cases than not, they favor men.

For example, women in the United States are still paid less than their male counterparts in almost every profession. In 2015, women made an average of 84 cents for every $1 made by a man in the same job. That immediately puts women at a disadvantage when saving for the future.
