Long gone are the days of most movie rental storefronts, like the well-known Blockbuster company. Replaced largely by lower priced, self service machines such as Redbox, there has been an evolution in how people rent movies.
The same seems to be so for cable TV providers. With so many consumers “cord cutting”, it seems that streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime have replaced the need for expensive cable TV services. In fact, even the mobile phone and computer giant Apple has entered the scene with Apple TV+.
While only time will tell how companies like Comcast will weather the storm, many suspect that cable TV may be coming to an end.
