New York, NY – Working in Support of Education (W!se), a longtime national partner of the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy, is pleased to announce an exciting new collaboration with Jump$tart to offer Jump$tart Financial Foundations for Educators (J$FFE) Online, a professional development curriculum to W!se’s national network of educators. Through J$FFE Online, personal finance instructors will be able to prepare for W!se’s Certification in Personal Finance Test, a national certification exam.

“With 32 states now requiring or soon to require high-school students to take a course on personal finance before graduation, the need for high-quality personal finance professional development has never been greater,” said David Anderson, President and CEO, W!se. “Jump$tart Financial Foundations is an outstanding professional development tool that offers this much needed training prior to teachers’ taking our Certification Test.”

J$FFE Online contains a suite of free online modules and a comprehensive foundation in key personal finance concepts aligned to the National Standards for Personal Financial Education. Each self-paced  lesson is engaging and interactive, covering topics assessed on the Certification in Personal Finance Test. With this new collaboration and W!se’s secure virtual proctoring platform, teachers will be able to prepare for and then take W!se’s Test at their own pace and from home.

“Jump$tart is pleased to have this opportunity to support W!se’s commitment to financial educators – a commitment we wholeheartedly share,” said Laura Levine, President and CEO, Jump$tart Coalition. “As interest in school-based financial education continues to grow, we congratulate partners like W!se for prioritizing its effectiveness.”

For educators already using J$FFE, the Certification in Personal Finance Test serves as a meaningful capstone, offering verified, nationally recognized validation of educators’ financial literacy expertise and demonstrating their proficiency to teach the subject matter.
