New York, NY – Working in Support of Education (W!se) is delighted to announce it has received a generous grant from the Ally Charitable Foundation to expand its Financial Literacy Certification and MoneyW!SE programs in the coming year.

Part of the grant will support the Financial Literacy Certification program at high schools in Detroit that serve predominantly low- to moderate-income students. W!se’s Certification program equips high school students with critical personal finance knowledge and provides those who pass the Financial Literacy Certification Test with a nationally recognized credential.

The remaining part of the grant will support the launch of the MoneyW!SE program in Charlotte, North Carolina. We will pilot the program, which provides survivors of domestic violence with financial education at the YWCA, Central Carolinas.

“We are truly grateful to the Ally Charitable Foundation for its renewed support for our financial education programs,” said David Anderson, President and CEO of W!se. “The generous grant  will allow us to reach new communities with high-impact programs that give both students and adults the tools they need to build secure financial futures.”

The Ally Charitable Foundation is committed to making a positive impact by supporting economic mobility and financial well-being in underserved communities. The Foundation’s generous support of W!se reflects a shared mission to create a more financially capable and inclusive society.

“By equipping W!se with these funds, we’re helping reach students and survivors of domestic violence with essential financial education,” said Mike Rizer, executive director of corporate citizenship, Ally Financial and president of the Ally Charitable Foundation. “At Ally, our name is our purpose, and we’re dedicated to investing in a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
