New York, NY — Working in Support of Education (W!se), a national nonprofit is pleased to announce the winners of the 2025 Financial Literacy Ambassador Award.
Five high school students from across the country demonstrated exceptional knowledge and passion about personal finance. Each student will receive a $1,000 monetary award:
- Meher Nur, Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical High School, NY
- Bianca Reaves, Rustburg High School, VA
- Alyssa Chung, High School for Math, Science, and Engineering at CCNY, NY
- Tori McKenzie, Center Point High School, AL
- Gabriella Hakes, Marcellus High School, NY
“Our new Ambassadors not only excelled on our Test, they’re role models,” said David Anderson, President and CEO, W!se. “These students recognize how important it is to be financially literate. Equally, they are passionate about sharing what they have learned with others in their communities, and we are proud of them.”
W!se created this annual Award with generous sponsorship from FLO mentors, a group of W!se volunteers who are passionate about helping young people improve their personal finance knowledge.
High school students who passed the Wise Financial Literacy Certification Test with a score of 95% or better are eligible to apply. Applications are reviewed and scored over three rounds by a distinguished panel of judges.
About The W!se Financial Literacy Certification Program
The W!se Financial Literacy Certification program, offered in 49 states, supports personal finance instruction in high schools. Participating schools teach personal finance and administer W!se’s Financial Literacy Certification Test. Students passing the Test become Certified Financially Literate™ (CFL), a nationally recognized credential. Through the program, more than one million students have graduated from high school financially literate.
